Harris Customer Training Conference (HCTC)

Keena recently participated in the HCTC conference in Atlanta, GA from October 8-10. HCTC provided a three-day learning event for customers to leverage best practices from industry peers and engage with TouchWorks experts. The event provided a great deal of networking, encouraging a strong sense of community among all attendees. Thanks to all that attended Keena’s evening gathering, it was great seeing everyone and getting the opportunity to share updates on new initiatives and recent product developments.

Overall highlights from HCTC:

  • Altera shared exciting future developments, including WayPoint, Distributed Cache, and AI Note—promising enhancements for improved functionality.
  • The conference was enriched by the presence of Central Regional User Group (CRUG) board members, a client-driven, non-profit organization open to all TouchWorks clients. To get involved, reach out to CRUG Membership Director Cindy White
    (Stern Cardiovascular – Germantown, TN).
  • Key to Success- Keep Being Engaged with your TouchWorks Community! It is recommended that clients join Altera calls for key updates, as well as CRUG membership calls and Keena TechTalk sessions for the latest news, troubleshooting, and professional enrichment.

Tips & Tricks from HCTC:

When building a NoteForm, a CPT code can be linked to any field for it to “drop to charge.” But did you know… that by adjusting the field’s Charge Linked setting to “MasterSearch” in the NoteForm properties, users can search for any CPT code on the front end, allowing the selected code to automatically populate. We recommend adding 3-5 of these fields to the Level of Service section for a streamlined workflow.

NEW: KeenaMe Chrome Extensions

KeenaMe empowers clients to customize their EHR and PM systems, streamlining workflows and boosting efficiency. KeenaMe Chrome Extensions allows you to change the visual display and functionality of your EHR and PM systems. Chrome Extensions boosts user productivity in three key ways:

  • Customize Display: Adjust layout and add visual elements to enhance efficiency, readability, and workflow.
  • Display Data from Other Systems: Access data from different systems or areas without extra clicks, integrating PM data, HIE lists, EHRs, and research materials.
  • Tailor Display Behavior: Set system defaults (e.g., new encounter, required fields) to streamline workflows and reduce unnecessary clicks.

NEW: Keena FotoFiler

Keena FotoFiler is a seamless solution for clinical image documentation. It is designed to simplify clinical documentation within TouchWorks, enabling users to capture and annotate clinical images while maintaining patient context. With an integrated workflow, clinicians can quickly generate a unique QR code from the EMR, tied to the patient’s specific encounter. Using a mobile device, they scan the code, instantly retrieving and syncing patient information.

Once in the app, clinicians can take photos relevant to the medical encounter, annotate images to highlight critical details, and seamlessly save them directly into the EMR. These images are securely stored as part of the patient’s medical record, under the associated encounter. Keena FotoFiler enhances efficiency, accuracy, and workflow for clinical documentation—making it easier to manage patient images.
